What To Wear - You are free to wear what you feel comfortable to dance / exercise in. Most dance participants wear gym / exersise clothing, Yoga wear or dance wear, Leggings and a top. Please be mindful in your choice of clothing, Do not wear clothing that is to long that you could fall and injure yourself and other people. Make sure your clothing is not to tight that it restricts you in any way. Wear materials that allow air to get through so you do not over heat. From September class t-shirts and dance bags will be available for those who want one.

Footwear - Traditionally it is more than suitable to learn and perform belly dance bare foot. However flat soft dance shoes with seude or split sole are suitable. When learning how to dance the floor should be taken into consideration. No matter what belly dance class you attend ensure you are dancing bare foot on a sprung floor or a suitable dance floor. Dancing bare foot on floors that are concrete or that are placed on top on concrete could be bad for your body. Carpet and over polished floors or sticky floors can also be a problem. Dance shoes are not only worn to protect your feet but also to protect other parts of your body.
At Tara's class the floors are 100% safe to dance bare foot on.
